A warm, comfortable stone village home in Santiago da Guarda, central Portugal. Ideal for remote workers, writers, retirees, and anyone seeking a peaceful long stay in the Portuguese countryside.

The house has 3 bedrooms (king, queen, and single), 3 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private garden with fruit trees including orange, lemon, and peach. There is a private pool maintained year-round (unheated).

Every bedroom has individual heating and air conditioning. The living and dining area has a working wood fireplace — perfect for cool evenings from October through April. The house also has a washer/dryer, wifi, and free parking.

The nearest village is a 5-minute drive with grocery, pharmacy, and café. Coimbra, Portugal's third-largest city, is 30 minutes by car with hospitals, a university, restaurants, and a train station connecting to Lisbon and Porto. Walking and cycling trails start directly outside the property.

This is a quiet, rural setting surrounded by farmland and nature. A car is essential. The home is best suited for guests who value peace, space, and a slow pace of life.

There are many natural swimming areas, nature activities and charming towns to explore in our area.

Children are only allowed to use the pool with parental supervision.
There is NO DIVING in the pool as it is not deep enough for diving.
There is no glassware by the pool.
There pool is not heated, but is usable most months of the year and maintained all year.

How can I cancel my booking?

However, suppose the owner has already approved your booking request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the booking before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the host accepts your booking, the property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
