Terracota House is more than a holiday house. It is a place to live slowly, settle into a new rhythm and experience the Algarve beyond its busiest coastal destinations.

Originally built in 1934 and carefully restored, the house combines traditional character with the comfort needed for a longer stay. With three bedrooms, generous shared spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, two gardens and several outdoor areas, it offers enough room to work, rest, cook and spend time together without feeling confined.

Located in the peaceful countryside near São Brás de Alportel, Terracota House is particularly suited to couples, families, remote workers and creative professionals looking for a temporary home in southern Portugal.

Here, slow living does not simply mean doing less. It means having the space to work with focus, prepare proper meals, enjoy the garden between calls, read outside in the afternoon and gradually become familiar with the surrounding villages, markets and local routines.

It is a home designed for staying, rather than simply passing through.

Welcome package

Upon arrival, you will find a small welcome package prepared by us. It usually includes seasonal fruit from our garden or neighbouring growers, a bottle of local wine, and a small selection of regional or seasonal products. The contents may vary depending on the time of year and availability — a simple way for us to share a little of the Algarve and welcome you to Terracota House.

How can I cancel my booking?

How you can cancel a booking varies depending on what stage the booking is in.

Is your booking request still waiting for host approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!

However, suppose the owner has already approved your booking request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the booking before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the host accepts your booking, the property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.

Do you have an approved booking and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your booking, contact Flatio customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
