Thank you Ana for the wonderful stay at your flat in Funchal. Madeira is truly an amazing island and your flat was the perfect base to explore it from. The location was great, with easy access to all the best sights and attractions. The apartment was fantastic. It was well stocked and clearly not just set up for Flatio guests, we felt right at home. The decor and attention to detail were lovely and it was clear that Ana has put a lot of thought into making sure her guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A tip for future guests - there is a fantastic Mercado just a short walk from the flat, where you can find fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as all sorts of local specialities. Speaking of the Mercado, we were also struck by the helpfulness of the people there. Although they didn't speak English, they were so warm and welcoming and went out of their way to assist us in finding what we needed. It was a real highlight of our stay and really added to the overall experience. Finally, we have to mention the blender, it was great for making smoothies from the fresh fruit we bought at the Mercado. Thanks again, Ana!

Quiet and spacious apartment in front of the sea. Perfect.

Lovely apartment recently renovated. There is a balcony overlooking the banana grove and the ocean. Great location with many restaurants, bars and grocery stores nearby. Fast and stable internet. The hostess was very welcoming, helped us with our requests. I recommend.

Everything is good

Great apartment with the most amazing view you could ask for. Sunsets here are beautiful and you can enjoy them on the balcony. The location is really good and it's a very nice walk into town (or in the other direction to the Forum shopping centre). The flat is really well furnished with a lot of storage if you're staying long term. The kitchen has everything you need. The team are very helpful and always answering any queries quickly. We needed some extra glasses and they went and bought them straight away. They also gave us some recommendations for restaurants and activities which we really appreciated.

Can't describe how good this experience was! The apartament is not modern, but it's still super beautiful, spacious, very well-equipped and furnished, clean, warm (nov/dec), functional, light and, well.. the view! Breakfast, dinner, wine - the ocean is always with you. It's your company when you go to sleep and when you wake up. And the sunset - you can enjoy it every day from your balony. The staff is super helpful - if you need anything - Sandra or the receptionist will provide you with everything and will chit-chat with you. The pool is always clean and you have a direct access to the ocean through the rear gate. It was my private paradise for almost 2 months and I felt like I was leaving my own home, so it's obvious I'll come back asap!

Nice flat in a local neighborhood close to Praia Formosa, Pingo Doce, cafes, restaurants. No problem with check-in as Susana booked us a taxi from the airport and the driver had the key. Good internet - both of us could work and have meetings at the same time. Kitchen equipment was enough to cook yourself. The only downside of the flat is that you need to stand to see the view. When you sit at the kitchen table you generally do not see it.

It's pretty and large flat in the center of village. Supermarket, bars and restaurants are close, and this is really important on Madeira, because you don't have to go far on very steep slopes) If you want to movie on island you should rent a car or go by taxi, bus rarely go there and the stop is far away. I had only one problem while I was living there, but for me it was so significant that I moved out ahead of schedule. A drug dealer works not far from the house, and drug addict guys are constantly hanging around. For two weeks I have not encountered any problems from them, except for the constant noise. But my experience of living in similar areas in other countries, prompted me to leave there. So think about how loyal you are to such an environment, otherwise everything was fine.

Fernanda is very helpful and the rental unit was very clean and everything was done with high quality. Location you can not beat the view it is outstanding and not too far from city center easy to get taxi/Bolt taxi there. Very nice unit I recommend it.

The apartment is managed by a company called An Island Apart and they were very good. The apartment is very comfortable and we spent many hours on the balcony high above the Atlantic Ocean. Being on the sixth floor, you get a lovely cool breeze coming into the apartment even when it is hot down on the street.

They are wonderful landlords. So helpful through the whole process. Their entire family helped us during our stay whether it was a restaurant suggestion or a rental car. They treated you like family. :-)
