Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with the host. Flatio was supposed to refund my entry fee because our case was quite exceptional, and they knew the host was in the wrong. We spoke with the legal office, and while they did assist us, they ultimately sided with the host — even though the host did several ILLEGAL things and treated us very badly. All we wanted was a refund for the unused nights.
The support service initially worked, but now that our contract has ended, the lawyer Pavlina has stopped responding to our emails — especially after we pointed out that the host entered the house without permission to clean a washing machine, something that was neither necessary nor urgent.
FLATIO STILL OWES US THE ENTRY FEE REFUND, AND WE HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE.

Flatio claims to be a platform that supports tenants—but when things went south, they were completely useless. I came to them expecting mediation and fairness, and instead got vague copy-paste responses, constant delays, and ultimately a shrug and “Sorry, can’t help.”
I was dealing with a hostile, uncooperative landlord who flat-out refused to fix problems or negotiate in good faith. Despite that, Flatio still expected me to follow the lease to the letter and pay for days I wasn’t even living there—even after I moved out and returned the keys. Their only offer of help was a partial service fee refund if I gave the landlord more money. Thanks for nothing.
Don’t be fooled by the promise of tenant support. Once you’ve paid, you’re on your own. Flatio protects their listings, not the people who live in them.

Allow a longer time to file a complaint and get my money back. It took me 2 days to discover all of the things wrong with the apartment that just made it impossible for me to live there. I tried contacting the landlord first to see if it would be resolved and by the time that I had given up on that, the window to file had closed.
There was an issue with the heat (I rented in January in Prague) where the radiator was full of air so 75% of the radiator would not get hot.
There was an issue with the running water for the toilet(it was not refilling and would only flush once an hour) and the landlord told me that it was "good enough" and it would take too long to get someone to fix it. You can look in my messages to see this. So I had to forfeit an entire month's rent because I was trying to resolve an issue with the owner first. I made the first few days of my move to Prague incredibly stressful. Please, if someone is reading this, can i have my money back?

The very big problem is a fee. I'm an Ukrainian and saw 50% off. How to use it I didn't know. Made reservation at night and had no answer from support. So paid full price, then in several weeks got those 50% back. Well, ok. But then I made second reservation... and again the same system. I'm still Ukrainian. Why do I need to write every time?
I would recommend lower fee for long stays or for extension. Your service helps to find landlords and that's all. If we meet, we can continue without you... Well, we did it and you don't get money anymore. Just because of high prices. I could pay some euros for comfortable mailing, payment and contract system. But pay hundreds... No, thanks.

my last experience was awful!!
if you cancel the apartment for any reason earlier, you will be obliged to return the difference, proportionate to the discount you received when booking. We booked for half a year since we planned to live that long or even longer. But due to certain circumstances, we had to move out earlier, on the 3rd month, and return an additional 18k CZK to the owner. It was quite an unpleasant experience, as the apartment ended up costing about 34 thousand CZK per month or 102,000 CZK for 3 months. Is it worth it? Absolutely not.

Everything could have been done better. I have used Airbnb for over ten years; this was my first and last time using Flatio. You don't actually get any support from the company, despite paying an insane fee, and I felt helpless in what was one of the worst months of my life. Never again.
