From the beginning, michal was talking to me with an aggressive attitude and demanding that i pay him 2000czk as a deposit incase I leave the house dirty, which I didn't agree to and it upset him. Then when I pointed out that the bathroom sink's drain is clogged up over text he started sending extremely rude texts and calling me a problematic person. We then agreed that we would meet face to face to solve those issues and even though we agreed on a timing he didn't show up and cancelled after I have waited for him for an hour. The last straw is when he showed up to the apartment at 9pm with only 5mins notice and I didn't agree to and his excuse was to take a pic of the coffee machine. After that I left the apartment the next day because I felt unsafe. I only stayed there 3 days and he said that he would refund the money except the 3 days however he didn't and only refunded around a week from my 18day stay.

Byt katastrofa. Zavesy nesly zatahnout, rolety okamzite spadly v loznici... Nebylo mozno utect pred peroucim sluncem. Matrace v katastrofalnim stavu, pruziny temer prolezaly latkou, jak byly matrace stare. Prakticky jsme museli z bytu utect a nasli jen velice drahy hotel na cely nas pobyt. Agentura neresila nas problem, emergency linka nam volala zpet az za 5 hodin poté, co jsme volali. Bylo nam receno, ze je to vse mezi nami a agentura se do toho michat nebude. Penize jsme samozrejme nevideli.. Nahradni ubytovani nebylo... Jak flatio inzeruje, a bylo by stejne pozde, protoze jsme se museli sami ubytovat. Dodnes me "majitelka", ktera ma jine jmeno nez s kym jsem podepisovala smlouvu-coz Mel byt jeji manzel... A rocnik 1949...pritom na fotkach mladi lide.... Aby se vyhnuli vraceni penez, rekli agenture, ze koupi nove matrace a spravi byt... Behem naseho pobytu, pokud bychom tam byli?
Kour nekour, po dlouhe vycerpavajici jizde jsme nemeli kde slozit hlavu. A jen zbyvalo najit okamzite hotel, prisla jsem o tolik penez diky tomutu, ze opravdu varuji pred sepsanim smlouvy o bytu, ktery je neovereny, nejlepe pokud se na nej nemuzete sami podivat.
LANDLORD'S REPLY:
Ms. Jana was calling us multiple times after signing the contract telling us that she is coming at night but when we asked when approximately the time of her arrival was she was not able to specify rather saying anytime between 1am and morning. That was creating a bit of complication as our usual contact was away but we managed to find a friend who was able and willing to hand her keys in the night. He stayed away whole night, waiting for Ms Monette to give her keys. Ms. Monette has arrived around 5AM. And then instead of beeing thankfull for such a service, she reffered to him as a “drunk” and “shithead” in her review.
When she arrived to the apartment she called us expressing many complaints: eg. heavy smoke passing beneath the door from the corridor to the apartment, uncomfortable mattresses, the curtain fell off, later on she added some more complaints like too many cables in the flat etc. In the phone call I try to figure out what could I offer to her to make her feel more comfortable; I proposed replacement of the mattresses that were not brand new for new ones the next day but I had no idea how it is possible that “heavy smoke comes into the apartment” passing thru the fire proof security entrance door. This or anything similar never happened before to me or other tenants, moreover it is not allowed to smoke in the corridor. Nevertheless already in our phonecall she mentioned that she has already decided to leave for another hotel and she is just waiting for flatio to accept her decision and there was nothing I could do to change her mind.
Since that day she never answered our calls, sms or messages thru Flatio, phone, or email. We understood she left but we could not get the information about how to get back to the keys from the apartment. When we finally got back to the apartment it was locked and keys were not inside, still no any reply from Jana Monette. Unfortunately a full set of keys was handed to her (including yard, cellar and post box keys) so we needed extra time, effort and money to finally get back and make all the copies again.
We were very upset to see her review with all the incredible made up stories.
We want to continue renting out our flat thru Flatio but if this fabulated untrue review cannot be deleted we will have to continue elsewhere.
We would like to mention again as we already told you in the phone that we later found out that Jana’s address of residence is located in the city hall in Prague to the contrary of what is written on her personal profile in Flatio (where she appears as ” approved, the permanent residence is not assigned at city hall”), this is not the best prospects as a potential tenant.

Nepochopitelně naúčtovaná suma za poplatek městské části (jsme obyvatelé té samé MČ). Při nastěhování problémy s úklidem, internetem a televizí. Později se začala objevovat plíseň v koupelně a kolem oken (vyřešeno s ubytovatelem). Později opět výpadky internetu a TV a spoustu maličkostí, které jsme si vyřešili sami.
Schrnutí: pro cizince na pár dnů asi postačující, pro rodinu s dětmi na delší čas rozhodně nevhodné.

Cestujem a prenajímam si byty už posledných 10 rokov ale ešte nikdy som sa nestretol s takýmto úbohým servisom.
Po prvé. Byt sa nenachádza na inzerovanej lokácii. Majitelia iba využili bug v internetových mapách kde "Lublanskú 6" ukazuje hneď pri metre IP Pavlova, no v realite je to až na križovatke s ulicou Wenzigova, pri parku Folimanka. A sú si toho dobre vedomí, pretože ten byt inzerujú ako "2min od metra IP Pavlova" hoci v skutočnosti to je 12 minút.
Druhá vec je, že podľa kontraktu podpísaného prostredníctvom webu flatio máte nárok na check-in už od 10 rána, no ich štadardný čas je 6 večer, lebo súvisle ten byt prenajímajú aj na AirBnB, tak sa to snažia synchronizovať. Keď ich s tým konfrontujete tak vám neodpisujú, až kým s tým nekontaktujete podporu Flatio. Potom sa tvária že to bolo "nedorozumenie".
A za tretie. Telefón na vás síce majú, ale spoliehajú sa na to, že vám nechajú odkaz v správe tu na portáli Flatio, kde to bežný pracujúci zaneprázdnený človek absolútne nekontroluje a potom sa vám stave že keď ste doma o 7 večer vyzlečený s tým, že idete do sprchy tak si odrazu vlastným kľúčom odomknú dvere a nakráčajú vám do izby dvaja cudzinci ktorí ani nevedia po česky, a pozerajú sa na vás ako vyjavení, že "prišli sme nastavovať internet". Žiadne klopanie, ani zvonenie, drzo si hneď odomknú a vbehnú vám dnu. Grcám z takej úrovne ubytovacích služieb.
Nehovoriac o tom, že ten byt je v dezolátnom stave, za posteľou špina a prach a na dlaždici ktorá pri vani drží iba na dobré slovo som si skoro rozrezal nohu. Hanba! A televízia je samozrejme v ruskom jazyku ku ktorej je ovládač na ktorom funguje iba hlasitosť. Hrozná skúsenosť, nikdy viac!

Four days before my roommates and I's arrival date we were told by the owner that she "double booked" & we would have to find other accommodations during the first two days of our arrival. I did not feel as if the owner felt bad about this mistake and when I asked if she had any places she would recommend to stay we were sent a link to a hotel that was longer open. We are three girls in our twenties that are traveling all the way from the states. Rather than canceling our stay (for the 3 months that we were planning on staying there) last minute, we found other accommodations these two nights as we were asked. Once we arrived we did not receive any help carrying our luggage/bags up the flight of stairs. When we arrived it was very humid and hot outside, my roommates and I were wearing shorts and a tank top and when we asked about air conditioning we were told that we could not have the remote. After having to convince the landlord to allow us to let us use it because it was stated as a feature of the flat on the listing. We were later messaged by the owner that she would pick up the remote not even a week later when it was still hot and humid outside. We were suppose to be refunded for the two days that we did not stay there but were told that the funds would now act as a "deposit" for the keys. This was never talked about until we arrived at the accommodations. We realized there were no paper towels, towels, trash bags, basic necessity items so we had to go to a market after first arriving to get these things. We asked for cleaning supplies, and only receive a mop that was falling apart/extremely dirty. We once again had to make a stop to the market to cleaning supplies to clean our flat.
Because of all these things, we decided that we wanted to put our 30 day notice in. The owner wrote me communicating that she saw this request but delayed the process by waiting to submit the inquiry with Flatio which delayed our depart date. We cleaned our flat for our check out date but it was not up to the owners standards so we communicated to we would pay her cleaning service 3 HOURS to clean it properly. Thinking that this would resolve the issue. I recieved a message from the owner about how unhappy she was with us and was sent photos of the apartment, including an image of the mop we were given to clean with. So we could at least agree that this mop was dirty - why was it given to us to clean the flat with? I was also told that a complaint would be made against to Flatio. Overall this was my worst experience in an accommodation while traveling. Not because the place wasn't clean, not because things didn't work correctly, but because the owner was so incredibly unpleasant to work with and I feel as if she look advantage of the fact that we were three young girls.

This is going to be a lengthy detailed review of my 5 month stay at Daniel's apartment in Prague 1 Old Town on Flatio so here we go.
Cons:
1.) Noise= every day noise! Street noise, construction, hammering drilling about every day there was noise.
2.) Smell= The stinky smell of the outside hall of trash and cigarettes mixed with the restaurant below.
3.) Furnishings= The furnishings are very outdated and dirty need updating. The flooring is in very bad shape super scuffed up so bad you cant even tell if its clean or dirty!
4.) Dirty= When I moved in the floor was dirty, kitchen counter tops dirty caked in white powder, grease all around the stove top, shower had thick grime built up that took me a hour to clean.
5.) Not family friendly= the bottom floor of the apartment building is a hotel like hostel tenants come and go and leave trash are dirty and loud. Had to call the cops one night for noise after hours and neighbors not friendly.
6.) Landlord= He was trying to get me to pay for his apartment repairs not caused by me. This was all brought to my attention a couple weeks before I moved out how convenient! Landlord sending me many messages borderline harassment. Daniel mentioned money and looking forward to going back to work soon I am assuming it is the lack of funds he has. Overall Daniel is a poor Landlord too worried about money and does not care about his tenants!
PROS:
1.) Location
2.) Cost of rent at the time during the pandemic was low but not anymore its pretty much doubled and overpriced now.
3.) Stable internet
I moved in early February (during covid pandemic) everything was nice and quiet as expected just some traffic noise as the living room and bedroom windows are facing the street. The room is on the 3rd floor so the very cold winter wasn't too bad heaters worked. The windows in the apartment are about as old as the building 100 years old and very poor insolation. When I first moved in about half of the windows were not close all the way letting in below freezing temperatures I was trying to figure out why the apartment was not warming up and found the reason. One of the windows had a handle missing creating a hole letting the freezing air pour in I contacted the landlord to have it repaired he sent a handy man to fix it no problem but am wondering how this was overlooked and not fixed before I moved in.
There are issues with this apartment and the location but the biggest issue I had was the NOISE so much noise! At first when I moved in it was quiet due to it being February no tourists and a pandemic but once the weather started to warm up and tourists poured back in there seemed to be noise every night. About 10 days after moving in I was woken up at 7:30 am with loud drilling and hammering which sounded like right above me. The drilling was so bad the walls were shaking vibrating this went on for a month! When I called my landlord asking if he knew there was going to be construction he denied everything which I find to be a lie as he had to of been given a noticed about construction in the building were he owns a apartment.
The construction was so loud couldn't even hear the tv and forced me out of my own home with my two 4 year old kids it was unbearable and keep in mind this is dead winter freezing out. The landlord could care less and was very annoyed with my complaints even got angry at me arguing with me on the phone absolutely awful experience. The street right in front of the apartment was being paved for weeks would wake up to the smell of asphalt and loud machinery right outside my window. I had strangers coming inside the apartment building knocking on my door asking to talk to me about a apartment for auction next door to me and others ringing my intercom very annoying. One person wasn't even wearing a mask and was asking me to open the door this was back when covid was very bad.
Overall a poor experience I do not recommend Daniel as a Landlord or this apartment. I do not recommend living in Prague 1 old town area it is dirty, loud and smells.

This is going to be a lengthy detailed review of my 5 month stay at Daniel's apartment in Prague 1 Old Town on Flatio so here we go.
Cons:
1.) Noise= every day noise! Street noise, construction, hammering drilling about every day there was noise.
2.) Smell= The stinky smell of the outside hall of trash and cigarettes mixed with the restaurant below.
3.) Furnishings= The furnishings are very outdated and dirty need updating. The flooring is in very bad shape super scuffed up so bad you cant even tell if its clean or dirty!
4.) Dirty= When I moved in the floor was dirty, kitchen counter tops dirty caked in white powder, grease all around the stove top, shower had thick grime built up that took me a hour to clean.
5.) Not family friendly= the bottom floor of the apartment building is a hotel like hostel tenants come and go and leave trash are dirty and loud. Had to call the cops one night for noise after hours and neighbors not friendly.
6.) Landlord= He was trying to get me to pay for his apartment repairs not caused by me. This was all brought to my attention a couple weeks before I moved out how convenient! Landlord sending me many messages borderline harassment. Daniel mentioned money and looking forward to going back to work soon I am assuming it is the lack of funds he has. Overall Daniel is a poor Landlord too worried about money and does not care about his tenants!
PROS:
1.) Location
2.) Cost of rent at the time during the pandemic was low but not anymore its pretty much doubled and overpriced now.
3.) Stable internet
I moved in early February (during covid pandemic) everything was nice and quiet as expected just some traffic noise as the living room and bedroom windows are facing the street. The room is on the 3rd floor so the very cold winter wasn't too bad heaters worked. The windows in the apartment are about as old as the building 100 years old and very poor insolation. When I first moved in about half of the windows were not close all the way letting in below freezing temperatures I was trying to figure out why the apartment was not warming up and found the reason. One of the windows had a handle missing creating a hole letting the freezing air pour in I contacted the landlord to have it repaired he sent a handy man to fix it no problem but am wondering how this was overlooked and not fixed before I moved in.

This owner is a thief. He pulled the bait and switch on me twice and got away with it since flatio doesn't punish people for doing this.
The apartment is on a very trendy street in Karlin, so renters usually ignore the awful conditions they live in due to the convenience of the location. He is also targeting foreign nationals since we are usually less prevalent to make trouble.
I knew something was wrong from the moment I rented the apartment when the owner reached out to me to provide me with his personal WhatsApp account.
Days before the move, I was provided with pictures that were so unfamiliar that I reached out to the owner. The drapes in the living room were removed and replaced with sheer oned that provided absolutely no coverage for my six-year-old daughter and me. I was told at least twice that curtains/drapes would be and was ordered, but they never came. I also asked if the television set could be replaced since it was pictured in the flatio ads but not in the photos sent to me. The kitchen table and the sofa was different. I am from California, so I selected the apartment based on its size on posh look.
On day one of the move in, a maintenance worker wheeled a grocery cart to my apartment and into the kitchen to hand deliver me two plates, a set of forks and spoons, two large bowls, one small and rusty frying pan, and four drinking glasses.
I felt as if someone forgot to tell him that black people were free and communism had fallen.
The scam gets deeper. I didn't have WIFi, so I spent the night in hotels for the first week since it was so close to the end of the fall term, and I was in deep with preparing for finals.
The property manager then texts you to state that a cleaning lady is available once a week at 150 czks per hour. Here is the catch, even if your apartment is spotless, the lady walks around your apartment until she has accumulated two hours exactly on the clock.
After observing her scam a couple of times, I overpaid 400 czks, never returning.
Two months into the lease, the owner comes by and states, "he rented the apartment on flatio at $1170 by accident. He stated that the $1170 was only suppose to be for one month even though I signed at least two contracts that specifically quoted the $1170.
Flash forward three days after krizikova street gets voted the 11th most popular street worldwide, and now the owner wants me to sign a year lease for $1400 at his trash smelling, police wandering around, tenants yelling and screaming and kicking on doors all times of the night or vacate in 30 days.
So I decided to vacate and still pay $1400 but somewhere much nicer. The owner was so upset that he told flatio that I left the apartment a mess and broke items to keep my deposit. He was so stupid that he forgets his property manager had already done a walkthrough with me and only found a light bulb that he tried to charge me for the whole lighting switch. The manager was so petty
that he wanted me to nearly buy him a brand new refrigerator for one cracked plastic fruit bin.
I decided to sign the paper admitting that my usage of the fruit bins may have exacerbated the crack that was already present upon my move.
The owner submitted false statements to flatio in an attempt to destroy my character. However, I delivered fresh expensive pastries and frozen yogurt to his staff on mother's day and fathers day since I felt sympathy for them.
This owner could not get away with this if flatio stands more by their clients like their competitors over at Airbnb.

Chunks of dust and dirt around. The sofa was in sad state, long black hair to be found throughout the flat and in the sofa, leftovers of food under the sofa pillows.
We have immediately communicated this to the landlord. They promised to send cleaning personnel and a handy man to fix needed. We waited next day at 9 AM. No one has turned up without given any excuse why. I had to be very proactive and kept calling them to get someone to come and clean. They did and it is very substandard. It’s rather surprising that in the age of Covid the cleaning is not their priority.
Long story short, after discovering more and more unacceptable state of the apartment we were ready to move out. We went to the landlord office to talk about this, their assistant has promised to us that the landlord will get in touch with us to discuss the needed. No one has ever communicated with us after that.
Would we come back to this place or landlord? Definitely NO. Currently there are many other cleaner options in the town. After this fiasco we managed to secure different apartment two streets away in Residence Ostrovni. Super clean and responsive management.

Pokoj nesnesitelně páchl močí. Týden jsem to tam poprašovala sanytolem na koberce a textil, ale vždycky se to vrátilo. Šlo to z matrací a koberce. Nakonec jsem se musela odstěhovat, všechny věci by mi načichly. Pronajímatel prohlásil, že tam nic necítí, a pokoj nechal rezervovaný, i když jsem mu už vrátila klíče. Pak po mě vymáhal peníze za zbytek z 30denní výpovědní lhůty, kdy jsem tam už dávno nebyla, že prý mě nikdo nevyháněl a mohla jsem tam klidně dál bydlet. To je výsměch.
Takže ve výsledku jsem zaplatila skoro 11 tisíc (včetně provize Flatia) za 10 dní pobytu ve smradlavém pokoji. Měla jsem být při výběru opatrnější.
The room smelled of urine unbearably. I treated it with special carpet and textile deodorant for a week, but it always came back. It emanated from mattresses and carpet. Eventually I had to move out, otherwise all my things would get smelled like that. The landlord said he didn't smell anything bad there, keeping the room reserved, even though I had already returned the keys. Then he enforced money from me for the rest of the notice period, even though I hadn't already been there for a long time. He said that no one had forced me to move out and I could have stayed calmly. Kidding?
So as a result, I actually paid almost 500 dollars (including Flatio's commission) for 10 days in a stinky room. I should have been more cautious.

This landlord should be avoided at all costs. The apartment had serious issues with it - bedbugs (we were bitten every night), a bidet that didn't work, a front door with a lock that got stuck one night, etc. The landlord was mostly unavailable - not responding to calls and messages. He promised to refund part of the money that was paid and was encouraged by the flatio management to do so in consideration of how poor the quality of the flat was after we pointed this out and proved it.
But after verbally promising to refund the money, he refused to return messages or to do anything to keep his promise.
Please don't have anything to do with this landlord or any of his properties listed on flatio or elsewhere. You will regret it. I don't want anyone else to go through what I have gone through.
The time I spent in this flat was probably one of the worst times in my life.

V potaz jsme vzali jen cenu ubytování, vše ostatní bylo hrozné. Postele byly plné zvířecí srsti což je pro alergika úplně super. Toaleta neustále protíkala, stínící žaluzie odpadávala.
Co se týče skupin obyvatel tohoto domu byla to vážně katastrofa. Střídá se tam ohromné množství lidí kteří bez klíčů čekají před vraty než je někdo pustí do objektu. A když se pak oknem koukáte na člověka co si právě chystá dávku kterou si chce pak píchnout, je Vám z toho zle. Mimo jiné neustálý hluk a hádky spolubydlících v domě.
Za mě jedině plus co se týkalo ceny jinak vícekrát již ne, děkujeme.

Neudělejte stejnou chybu jako já a nepokoušejte se rezervovat bydlení u tohoto nespolehlivého člověka. Poprvé jsem si u pana Radima zarezervoval bydlení a zaplatil 1. nájem 25.04.2019, s tím, že nastěhovat jsem se měl 07.09.2019. Bral jsem to jako hotovou věc a na léto jsem odjel do zahraničí. Nicméně v červenci mě kontaktovalo Flatio s tím, že pan Radim si přeje rezervaci zrušit. Takže jsem musel narychlo shánět bydlení už za celkem nevýhodných podmínek a navíc ze zahraničí. Nicméně mi pan Radim osobně po telefonu nabídl, že bych u něj mohl bydlet od dubna 2020. Po nějaké době jsem na to kývl, 10. července 2019 jsem vytvořil rezervaci přes tento portál a zaplatil 1. nájem. V září jsem pana Radima kontaktoval, zda s bydlením můžu počítat na 100% a zda se nebude opakovat předchozí situace. Ujistil mě, že bydlení mám jisté a že se mnou na 100% počítá. Asi není těžké odhadnout, jak to pokračovalo. V lednu 2020 opět telefonát z Flatia s tím, že pan Radim se rozhodl rezervaci zrušit.

I didn't rated 0 because I already knew what i was walking into.
To stay fair, the basics were there.
The washing machine, cooking hobs, fridge and heater were working.
The location wasn't great ( a king of basement of a building ), the communication with the owner was complicated. I had the feeling he didn't really care of the well-being of his tenants, as long as he is getting paid.
The information to collect the keys were very vague and the location far from the apartment.
I didn't get more information from the people of the agencies who gave me the keys.
When texted the owner about internet, he replied that i had to look for a modem, which I found after searching the apartment but the connection wasn't working and my phone signal was very poor ( I think due to basement location ), so i basically didn't have internet inside the apartement.
The overall feels old, almost unhealthy to live in.
The cooking ustensiles are very used, the bed slats keep falling down and there was not even a chair at the kitchen table.
To top it all, there were a lot of dirt and cigarette butts under the bed.
When I tried to rent it the first time for a quite high price, the owner cancelled it because he considered the price too low ( It feels like he is playing on the stock market with his different apartements )
I took it because I got a job offer on very short notice close to Košická street but you should really avoid it . Any place is better than this.

The location wasn't great ( a king of basement of a building ), the communication with the owner was complicated. I had the feeling he didn't really care of the well-being of his tenants, as long as he is getting paid.
The information to collect the keys were very vague and the location far from the apartment.
I didn't get more information from the people of the agencies who gave me the keys.
When texted the owner about internet, he replied that i had to look for a modem, which I found after searching the apartment but the connection wasn't working and my phone signal was very poor ( I think due to basement location ), so i basically didn't have internet inside the apartement.
The overall feels old, almost unhealthy to live in.
The cooking ustensiles are very used, the bed slats keep falling down and there was not even a chair at the kitchen table.
To top it all, there were a lot of dirt and cigarette butts under the bed.
When I tried to rent it the first time for a quite high price, the owner cancelled it because he considered the price too low ( It feels like he is playing on the stock market with his different apartements )
I took it because I got a job offer on very short notice close to Košická street but you should really avoid it . Any place is better than this.

Poorly furnished, no internet (the modem was in another flat, almost no signal). The sink was badly fixed with tape before my arrival. It massively leaked and they fixed it when I wasn’t there despite I asked to be present because I had my staff there. I had to write the landlord to get basic information about heat system and internet and had to wait even two days for a reply. Worst bed I’ve ever slept in, the sheets didn’t even cover the entire surface.
