Disappointing stay: poor cleanliness and lack of care I cannot recommend this flat due to major issues with cleanliness and communication. Upon arrival, the entire place was covered in dust. When I messaged the host with pictures to ask about the cleaning situation, the response was incredibly dismissive: "Ah, I just painted so left the windows open because of the smell." There was absolutely no apology or effort to fix it. He also mentioned that the cleaning is 50 euros if I needed it. To make matters worse, I found the washing machine completely full of dirty towels and bed sheets. Additionally, the apartment gets virtually no natural light and is very dark throughout the entire day. On top of the poor hygiene, the host constantly messaged me asking to enter and view the apartment because he was trying to sell it. Between the lack of basic preparation, the hygiene issues, the constant disruptions, and the host's indifferent attitude, it was a very uncomfortable experience.

Cannot recommend. It's always raining into the apartment, you will be living in a construction site.

Dear Flatio, I have always tried to follow all legal procedures and fulfill my obligations properly. When I received the invoices that were presented to me, I paid them in full. Later, I received a notification stating that I had an outstanding balance of €34. As soon as I saw it, I contacted both your office and the apartment owner because I did not understand what this charge was for. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response from either side. The apartment owner even told me that I did not owe anything. As a result, I assumed that this might have been a technical or administrative error, and time passed without any clarification. More recently, however, the apartment owner accused me of being dishonest and unwilling to pay. I find this unfair and difficult to understand. The amount in question is very small and could have been resolved immediately if I had been properly informed. It was never my intention to avoid any payment. What disappointed me most was that, instead of first clarifying the situation, I was insulted and judged without any investigation of the facts. I believe that in situations like this, there is no need for accusations or personal attacks. We should treat each other with respect, kindness, and understanding. Despite being offended by these accusations, I still apologized for the misunderstanding and the situation that arose. In the end, everyone’s actions speak for themselves. i clean 4 hours just to get it nice. it was hashstains on the floor and very dirty, i have photos of it if you want to see. and a real bad smell that you could taste in the air from the drains so i have to plug them when im not using. When i moved in i tried to book one week earlier of flatio in another room but he told me to send him money not to the site and that also wasnt clean, dust and hair all over the floor and he promised me that i was suppose to get a clean room in the switch but he sent in the cleaner 8 hours after i moved in so i did it myself because i had to work and the old room he rented out, so i had to choose of waiting to move in 8-9 hours after i was suppose to move in or clean by myself. It moved in a family with a newborn that screams all night. I woke up 6 times this night of noise from baby and the rules say that it is suppose to be quiet after 20:00, but they cook food and stuff until 00:00. Kitchen fan is also dripping oil from and the oven is so discusting and all pots and fryingpans are so bad, flat looks really good on the photo but in real life i think its not healthy to live here. i asked if i could have some money back because of the cleaning and he said to me that the budget wasnt enough, and he paid for cleaner that not clean the room, very special. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and i asked 2 girls who moved in and he had mixed up with rooms and stuff so this man who is dealing with this apartment have proven that hes not a man in the right place and doing very bad advertisement for your site. I dont know how he thinks when it say 2 persons per room but take in 2 person and a baby when we are younger people who lives here probably he should try match, its insane this. I have not feel comfurtable here in almost 2 weeks now because of them, I would like to have some money back from this because this is crazy, im suppose to be able to sleep in the night in my home... And i wrote a message to the host and he said he was going to pay me back for these days but after that he did not say anything more. It is now 5 days after my departure and the listing still states 200 Mbps as the speed. The speed was actually 5-15 the vast majority of the time, sometimes just 1 or 2 Mbps, and at times inoperable for 15-60 minutes. - The host advertises this place as suitable for remote workers, but the power went out dozens of times during my one month stay, at times for over an hour. The building has serious infrastructure issues. - After 2 weeks, it became unbearable and harmful to my necessities, and I contacted her to end my 4 week lease and refund me for the remainder. This in itself would be an inconvenience from the initial agreement due to displacing me, but better than continuing to be subjected to the hardship created by her dishonesty. She refused to end the lease early or provide any refund, despite me having to relocate during the lease and pay for accomodations elsewhere. - Again, the internet speed has never tested at the speed stated in the listing, and she maintains it in the ad here. She is a crook and I do not wish anything good for her in life. - Flatio was content to allow her to keep the money for the lease despite her obvious breech of basic decency and failure to meet her own assurances. I suppose it was out of their hands. - So on this platform, I do not recommend you place your trust in a host lightly before booking your stay. Find an option other than this one. - There are also construction issues, such as a shower that floods the bathroom and pools to create mold. And the bedside counters are not properly adhered to the wall, causing a sloping ledge that isn't suitable to support even a glass of water. - The shopping center the apartment is in is largely vacant and rundown, and you have to walk quite a while to access the beach either in Golem or Durress, as the coast near the apartment isn't open to the public. - Absolutisht kriminale. Major issues with this landlord and property. - The oven did not work. - The WiFi only worked in the kitchen and was only fixed over halfway through my stay. - The drains did not function properly and was only fixed over halfway through my stay. -The bathroom door handle repeatedly broke off and was only fixed over halfway through my stay. - Landlord is very aggressive if you complain. The overall experience caused a lot of stress and upset my end. I’ve received no partial refund to reflect my experience.

The apartment was presented fraudulently. No HVAC on the ground floor so it was very cold. The heat pump on the second floor did not work from day 1. The het pump on the first floor failed after one week. Neither was repaired during our stay. There was no place to store cloths ib the 2nd floor bedroom. I purchased a shelf unit myself. The hanger rod was broken and propped up by the shelf unit I had purchased.

There were Leaks from ceiling throughout stay. There were attempts to rectify it but the issue led me to move out as it became inhabitable. However, the apartment was good in every other aspect and my concerns were promptly delt with. The property manager went out of his way to make my stay comfortable, also accommodating me with any extra utensils and essentials needed. The apartment was well stocked with cleaning supplies and simple kitchen necessities which was appreciated. Other than the leaks, which they noted was being attended to immediately (which is why I had to leave), the apartment is perfect with amazing views of the river aswell.

Eso no fue cierto, nos enteramos pocas horas antes de poder acceder al piso. Y con un mensaje de WhatsApp. No fue capaz de mandar a nadie a ayudar a subir el equipaje que era una sola chica con varias maletas. Se ofreció pero nunca apareció. Las fotos no sé corresponden en nada con el piso. Tiene CUCARACHAS, HUMEDADES CON MUCHO HONGO, LA COCINA ESTA SUPER SUCIA Y LLENA DE GRASA Y MOHO TAMBIÉN Y DESCONCHADA LA PINTURA POR LA HUMEDAD. Según ella mantienen una estricta limpieza, totalmente mentira. Según ella todo era por las lluvias. Y esa suciedad es la que trajo cucarachas. Y por último no tiene salón, en el anuncio pone que si y no lo hay. No recomiendo para nada este alojamiento. Debería estar prohibido alquilar una vivienda en esas condiciones.

We had a mixed experience renting this home. While the owners are friendly, professional and willing to help, the circumstances we faced in this particular home was unpleasant. The photos conceal some gaps in basic livability standards. It might be ok, if you're renting for a weekend. But, anything more than a weekend, means you're making a serious compromise. 1. The layout of the home is like a train coach - the living room, room#2, kitchen, bathroom room #1, backyard. The only useful windows for light and air are in the front. This means 60% of the house has zero light or air exposure. The room#1 in the back of the house has a small window and door to the yard, but does not provide any light. 2. The bathroom has zero ventilation, so expect high humidity. The bathroom also came without curtains or any storage, so once again it was below basic living standards. 3. The hosts were nice enough to install washer and dryer, which we really appreciated. But, the laundry room is dark and dingy. We had mold all over our stuff that we had stored here. The issue might have been made worse due to the incessant storms during our stay. Even so, for us - this felt like below living standards. 4. The kitchen does not have any hood or ventilation and just a basic induction stove with 2 plates. There zero natural air or light in the kitchen. If you plan on cooking here, expect the kitchen to get damp very soon. 5. The Good part of the location is its close to lot of restaurants. On the other side, this street has numerous bars and it can get very noisy during the weekends. The hosts are great people, but the fact is the unit does come short of meeting basic living standards, if you're planning to stay for more than a weekend! LANDLORD'S REPLY: The photographs of the property available on the Flatio website show the exact layout of the house, including the stovetop and the bathroom. When renting an apartment through a platform, one must pay close attention to the type of property being chosen. Before we signed the final contract, I sent a video to the tenant so they could inspect the property and confirm they wished to proceed with the rental. The property did not have a washer-dryer, and at the tenants' request, we arranged an alternative solution so they could have a washing machine. In fact, we installed the machine in a small, dark location that had been agreed upon over the phone with the tenant. The property was clearly too small for this family's needs, and they asked us to end the tenancy without notice, which we did not accept. It is unfortunate that the review was written in this context, unfairly damaging the reputation of our property. Quando se arrenda um apartamento por plataforma há que olhar com atenção para o tipo de propriedade que se está a escolher. Antes de celebrarmos o contrato definitivo, enviei um video ao inquilino para verificar a propriedade e certificar-se de que queria prosseguir com o arrendamento. A propriedade não tinha máquina de lavar e secar e, a pedido dos inquilinos, nós arranjámos uma solução de recurso para eles poderem ter máquina. Aliás, instalámos a máquina num local pequeno e escuro acordado telefonicamente com o inquilino. A casa era manifestamente pequena para as necessidades desta família e pediram-nos para terminar o arrendamento sem aviso prévio, o que nós não aceitámos. É triste que a avaliação seja feita neste contexto, prejudicando injustamente a nossa propriedade.

The apartment did not have adequate heating. Just 3 small spot heater for 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom. The floors were freezing cold. The stove gaz burners and oven were not hooked up to the gaz bottle, so only 2 electric heating plates and a microwave oven were available. The electrical panel would trip all the time when heaters and anything else was on at the same time. I did not meet the host as he was in south america at the time.

The dog was a serious issue. It was not the same dog as in the description and barked frequently, sometimes for hours straight. For about one month it repeatedly urinated on the living room floor. While this was no longer an issue toward the end of the stay, it significantly affected the overall experience. The mattress was worn out and visibly stained, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Only one bedsheet was provided. The shared living area was not actually shared. I was allowed to use it for breakfast when the host was at work, and since we left around the same time this was barely possible. In the evenings the door was closed, so it was clearly not a common area as described. The dishwasher did not work properly. The guest policy was changed compared to what was stated in the contract. According to the booking, guests were allowed for three days free of charge per month. The host only allowed about half of that and demanded 10 euros per night, which I refused. Positive aspects were the cleaning every two weeks, a fully functional washing machine, and a very good location. LANDLORD'S REPLY: It is somewhat strange that if the stay was so unsatisfactory, why would the guest stay here for four whole months? I would therefore like to comment on the points in the review.  Dog: The dog lives in the apartment and this is stated in the offer. He is well-behaved and clean. The offer is suitable for those who like dogs or at least don’t mind them. Living room:  It is not a rule that it is automatically shared, as stated in the offer as well. Dishwasher: The dishwasher was replaced with a brand new one during the guest’s stay. Visits of the guest friends: The guest was visited by her friends for free several times. However, I believe it is good manners to respect the host’s privacy. Room: The room is in standard condition and has never been complained about. I believe that guest would slept much better if she kept her room tidy. The room was thoroughly cleaned after the guest’s departure.

Host was not responding on period of the whole 5 month

This was quite the nightmare experience, the word I have ever add in a temporal housing. First of all the violation of all flatio terms from the beginning. The host requested a deposit, for which I had to insist it goes against the platform agreements and had me pay a late check-in fee of 50€ that was not stated in the listing. I received a faulty apartment, with the lock of the door broken and a Wifi network that never worked (he says that it is because it's "forbidden" to download big files), I had to use my mobile data plan for the entire stay. But the worst is yet to come, one day we stopped having water supply on the entire building, this makes the whole building "uninhabitable" according to Spanish law. The host insisted that it will be resolved quickly and provided bottles of water. I lived like this for a week, until I called the water company here in Valencia (Global Onum) and they told me that the building doesn't have any contract with them. Since that means that the issue could last for weeks or even months I rushed to book an Airbnb and left the apartment. The host even has the indecency of demand me to clean the apartment with the bottles of water, like it is completely Ok to have to live without water supply like if it where a jungle or a deserted island. Avoid completely, don't risk living a similar nightmare experience.

I honestly don’t know what was worse: the apartment itself or the landlady. This place was an absolute nightmare, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to stay away at all costs. Let’s start with the apartment. The photos are pure deception and have nothing to do with reality. The room is handed over in whatever filthy state the previous tenant left it in. The kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are dirty and rancid. When I moved in, there was already mold behind the sink, which says everything about the level of care taken here. The refrigerator randomly leaks water, leaving puddles on the floor. The shower head is broken, spraying water in all directions except where it should. There is no mailbox, no doorbell, and no nameplates — basic things you would expect in any functional apartment. The room door has a glass window, meaning zero privacy unless you cover it yourself. Even after insulating the door with special materials, the soundproofing is still completely inadequate: you can clearly hear the toilet flushing and every single movement in the kitchen. Relaxing in your own room is simply impossible. Heating deserves its own special mention. The regulator in the room is rusted and stuck, so you cannot control the temperature. The only way to regulate heating is via the bathroom, which means either you sweat like crazy, your roommates freeze, or you sleep with the heating blasting and the windows wide open. There is no reasonable middle ground. And these are just the problems with the apartment itself. Now to the landlady — or rather, the complete absence of any real landlord responsibility. I repeatedly tried to report these issues. The messages are read, but responses come extremely late, if at all. Communication is a disaster. She barely understands English and is apparently unable (or unwilling) to use a translator, which makes the delays even more absurd. On October 15, I sent a long, detailed message listing all the defects. After weeks of following up and practically begging, I finally managed to speak to her on November 14. She openly admitted that she couldn’t even remember the last time she had seen the apartment in person. I was then promised that by the end of November the following would be fixed: a new toilet and floor, a repaired refrigerator, a new bathroom floor and bathtub, a mailbox with keys and nameplate, and a replaced heating regulator. I am writing this at the end of January. Unsurprisingly, almost nothing has happened. The toilet was eventually repaired, and I was told the bathroom would be next — but at this point, promises are meaningless. You can safely assume that every promise will be delayed by at least two to three months, if it happens at all. To make things even worse, the landlady doesn’t even live in Prague. When something finally starts moving after endless delays, you as the tenant are expected to chase third parties yourself. P.S.: Just to be clear about the noise situation: both current roommates have children who temporarily live in the apartment, meaning it is rarely occupied by only three adults. If you think this will be a quiet or peaceful place to live — think again.

I stayed in this property during winter and had to leave early due to serious heating and power issues. The house was cold, damp, and not fit for remote work or even basic comfort. Heating was first provided via a faulty oil heater, then replaced with small 300W infrared panels — which were wholly inadequate and then a faulty gas heater. Power outages occurred when using essentials like a heater or even a kettle. Warm water was unreliable, and the humidity was so high it risked damage to my electronics. When I raised concerns, the landlord eventually suggested I should purchase a new gas heater myself — instead of taking responsibility for providing a habitable space. I became ill from the conditions and had to move out. After platform intervention, I received only a partial refund — and no compensation for the time spent in unsafe, unlivable conditions. Be cautious. Make sure major upgrades have been made and clear accountability is in place. Winter tenants especially: don’t rely on assumptions — ask for proof that heating and electricity are truly functional.

El propietario no tiene cuidado con los inquilinos que acepta. Tuve muchos problemas con un grupo de inquilinos hombres que no sabían español (ni inglés), dejaban todo sucio y hasta me golpeaban la puerta a media noche. Intenté solucionar el tema con el propietario, pero no se logró nada. Los problemas continuaron. Preferí irme a la casa de amigos a pasar allá los fines de semana. Cuando pedí al propietario que finalicemos el contrato de mutuo acuerdo, por lo problemas, no accedió y tuve que irme a pesar de seguir pagando, ya que la verdad estaba muy temerosa por los inquilinos. Y esto fue desde el primer día que llegaron. Incluso el primer día lque llegaron también llegó la policía a verificar quienes eran y donde vivían, lo que también me asustó. LANDLORD'S REPLY: Following my review, this guest with outstanding debt wrote a revenge review. Following legal action from AXA, this guest paid the rent. Happy end ? Just a bad experience to put behind me, I would not go back to this place even if it was free, in fact I might pay to not have to go back.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with this apartment. There was mold on the walls, dirty dishes, a broken coffee machine, dirty windows with bird droppings on the sills, and months-old dust and cobwebs behind the bed. The wi-fi didn’t work, and both the shower and sink drains were clogged. Although I asked the landlady to arrange cleaning and repairs, she said the cleaner was unavailable, and despite claiming she contacted other services, nothing changed for three days. She admitted the apartment was neglected and needed cleaning, but still didn’t arrange it. She also accused me of pressuring her to move in earlier, even though she had asked for an extra day to prepare the flat — which I agreed to — yet the apartment was still in terrible condition. Her only solution was that I leave early, which she considered fair. I did not, as the apartment was too dirty to work, sleep, or live in. I had to leave and find another place. Very unpleasant experience — I do not recommend this apartment. LANDLORD'S REPLY: Byt byl nájemnici předán osobně při nastěhování a v daný moment nebyly vzneseny žádné výhrady. Připomínky začaly přicházet až s odstupem času. Na každou z nich jsem reagovala bezodkladně. Kontaktovala jsem techniky na internet, objednala nový kávovar, řešila možnost úklidu a opakovaně komunikovala s poskytovateli služeb. O všech krocích byla nájemnice průběžně informována. Vzhledem k tomu, že některé požadavky nebylo možné vyřešit okamžitě (zejména z důvodu dostupnosti externích služeb), nabídla jsem férové řešení formou předčasného ukončení pobytu. Toto řešení bylo nakonec realizováno dohodou přes platformu Flatio a s částečným vrácením nájemného, se kterým nájemnice souhlasila. Je mi líto, že pobyt nesplnil očekávání nájemnice, nicméně z mé dlouhodobé zkušenosti i historie hodnocení na Flatio (dlouhodobě 5/5) je zřejmé, že se jednalo o mimořádnou a nestandardní situaci, kdy očekávání a standardy nebyly na obou stranách v souladu. Byt byl po odjezdu převzat zpět bez jakýchkoliv dalších připomínek a spolupráce byla oficiálně uzavřena dle pravidel platformy. Zároveň bych ráda doplnila, že veškeré nahlášené záležitosti byly po odjezdu nájemnice vyřešeny. Byt je nyní po generálním úklidu, s plně funkčním internetem, odpady i novým vybavením a je připraven v plném standardu pro další hosty.

I moved here for a six month let. The host did not give me a chance to view the flat before I moved in, saying there were guests there. When I arrived I found a live cockroach in the kitchen sink. The frid,ge was unplugged, leaking onto a wet towel underneath, and had a foul smell which had permeated all the flat. The flat was old and decrepid. There was clutter and old cheap furniture everywhere, so hardly any space to store my items and furniture. There were bedbugs in the bed. I moved out the next day. I moved my possessions out the day after. The host refused to refund the rent I paid from when I moved everything out on the 3rd of October until the 31st. They are a scam. I've had to get my bank involved. I can't imagine anyone staying there even for a short holiday.

We arrived on the first day with an 8-month reservation, only to be told by the owner that we had to leave because he was planning to sell the apartment. We were forced to look for another place at the last minute, which was extremely stressful and unprofessional. The kitchen had very few utensils, and most of them were dirty from previous guests. The apartment is very dark, most of the light bulbs don’t work, and overall it was not clean. The closets were full of the owner’s boxes and bags, leaving almost no space for us. Terrible experience. I booked and paid for a T1 apartment (65 m²). On the day of our arrival, the phone number listed in the contract was unavailable, and the manager stopped responding in the chat. We arrived and ended up spending four hours outside waiting. During that time, we managed to find another phone number for the manager, but when we finally reached him, he said it wasn’t his problem and claimed they didn’t work with Flatio. Thankfully, the cleaning staff noticed us, checked our documents, contacted their supervisors, and managed to find a vacant apartment for us. We’re very grateful for their help — especially since we had small children and it was already late, so finding another place would have been almost impossible. Unfortunately, the apartment we were given was much smaller and in worse condition than the one we had originally booked. The manager didn’t offer any compensation for the difference, never apologized, and made no effort to take responsibility for what happened.
