Apartment: An absolutely amazing apartment combining the best Madeira has to offer. This apartment is in a calm and quiet neighbourhood, allowing you to sleep peacefully, which is not always the easiest thing to find on this island. Yet it does not come at a cost since you both have everything at a walking distance, including two large supermarkets in Cancela, and a few smaller ones directly within a few minutes walk. You also have a great bakery near (Flor do Garajau). Are you afraid of not being connected to Funchal? Well don't be, because you have a bus stop 2 minutes away from the apartment where you can take the line 155 (and a few others) bus to Funchal which takes only about 20 minutes to arrive to Anadia shopling or teleférico in Funchal. For those on a budget, the fare is only 2.60 euros. Staying in many places in Funchal brings noise that makes it difficult to sleep, but here you both get to sleep and stay connected with Funchal. Other than that the apartment itself is wonderful and the neighbours are extremely nice, polite and quiet. The apartment is a true living apartment, you have everything you need, from a panini press over to a vacuum cleaner. If someone told me that I had to move into the apartment tomorrow forever and couldn't buy any new appliances or cookware, I would be perfectly fine with that. It is also incredibly spacious, and has a wonderful view from the balcony where you can enjoy the sun and the ocean. This is far from my first time in Madeira. In fact this is my 5th time and I think my 7th accomodation and by far my favorite. As stated before, it just has a mix of quiet and being near everything that's difficult to find on Madeira and is often listed cheaper than other apartments on Flatio, even though it is more spacious and in a better location. Really, on a subjective take, if you still don't know how to navigate this island, I highly recommend this apartment, it is the perfect launching pad and I really cannot find a fault with it Host: Rúben is an absolute sweetheart and someone who makes you feel more like a friend than just a guest. Communication is extremely fast and everything gets solved immediately. Even in this area this apartment is unique as in a way the interactions you have with Rúben quickly start to feel very natural and less like a businesses transaction and more like just two friends talking. Summary: I highly recommend both the apartment and the host. Take it from someone who has booked many places in Madeira, you will not regret booking this one. Both the host and the apartment are amazing and I will be honest in saying that after a while the apartment started feeling like my own home.

My three friends and I rented Maryam's flat between September and mid-December for our semester abroad and had the most amazing time living there! The flat is super spacious, with plenty of common areas to enjoy morning coffees and game nights together. The large windows in the living room, with the small balcony out front, were perfect for watching the sunrises and sunsets over Rua Morais Soares. All bedrooms were well equipped with comfortable beds and storage space. The two bathrooms were freshly renovated with authentic Portuguese tiles and left no wishes. While the kitchen is rather small compared to the rest of the apartment, it perfectly accommodated our needs, and we never had any issues with space. The washing machine and dishwasher were especially useful to us:) Maryam was a very kind and responsive host who was always quick to respond to any question we had. Extending our stay at the end also posed no issue – we'd do it all over again in an instant! The flat is located in a lively neighbourhood on a bustling street, which calms down during the night though. You can find anything you need on the street, from fruit shops and bakeries, to barbers and electronics shops. There are two smaller grocery stores within 2 minutes of the flat and plenty of larger ones (e.g., Pingo Doce, Continente, Lidl) within 10 minutes of walking. The closest gym is about 5 minutes away. If you don't feel like checking one of the wine bars, cafés, or restaurants on the side streets of Rua Morais Soares, you're only a 20-minute walk away from the beginnings of Alafama, or 7 minutes away from the Green and Red metro lines, which connect you perfectly to the city center and the airport. The closest bus stop is essentially right out the door as well, making the apartment the perfect spot to stay in Lisbon.

Stayed for 35 days, while working on an art project in the city. The flat is small, but exactly as pictured, overall it was exactly what I was looking for. Recommended!

Very cozy, beautifully renovated and furnished house, absolutely quiet, lots of nature and still just a short drive from Machico and the airport. Vitor has been a fantastic host and helped us with everything needed, he even put an office chair in the house for me so I could do some remote working. Highly recommended if you look for a cozy and quiet getaway, a bit off the grid but still centrally located. Ideal for couples or a small family. The road to the house takes a bit of courage but is doable even with a small car. Hope to be back soon!

Absolutely adore my stay here. The location is wonderful and very safe for young women! The place is beautiful with all amenities you could possibly need, super cosy in the winter months. Andrea is fantastic and always available to help out.

Kate was an absolutely excellent host —warm, kind, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. She truly took great care of me and shared fantastic recommendations for programs and places to visit, which made my stay even more special. The apartment was brand new, stylish, and extremely comfortable, with a perfect location right in the heart of the city centre. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

A 10-15 minute walk from the Santa Apolonia metro station and in a nice neighborhood. Very kind and accommodating owners.

Rita, her aunt and her mother were our hosts at this perfectly located apartment in Funchal. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and kitted out with everything you might want for a holiday in Funchal. Our hosts had also provided some special small touches, leaving homemade Funchal biscuits, poncho (the local Madeiran drink) as a welcome package. They were incredibly warm and welcoming and even offered to bring us to the local Christmas festival to sample traditional food with them. The apartment also access to a wonderful rooftop where you can watch the Funchal Christmas lights. Across the street is a wonderful park, and the location offers great access to local shops and amenities, as well as parking. I cannot recommend this property enough.

Always available, but I am still waiting for the refund for one week of the house. I ended the rental period one week early, but I still haven’t received the refund.

Christophe was an amazing host! He was very helpful and communicative and always took urgency when necessary. The apartment itself was gorgeous and in a great area. I was so sad to leave and would absolutely book again!
