We spent several months in this apartment during our Erasmus experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We were four students sharing the flat, and from the very beginning it felt like home. The apartment is beautiful, very cozy, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a long stay. It has a warm atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and feel at home. The location is also excellent, with great access to public transport. Being so close to the metro and bus connections made it very easy to get around the city and explore Lisbon. Communication with Maryam was always great. Whenever we needed anything, she responded quickly and was always helpful and available, which we really appreciated. We would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and well-located place to stay in Lisbon.

Neighborhood
The neighbourhood is one of the best things about this apartment. It is a lively and convenient area with everything you need just a short walk away, including supermarkets, small local shops, cafés, restaurants, and take-away options. The public transport connections are excellent, making it easy to reach any part of the city. We always felt very safe and comfortable in the area, and it was the perfect place to experience everyday life in Lisbon while still being close to the city centre.

My three friends and I rented Maryam's flat between September and mid-December for our semester abroad and had the most amazing time living there! The flat is super spacious, with plenty of common areas to enjoy morning coffees and game nights together. The large windows in the living room, with the small balcony out front, were perfect for watching the sunrises and sunsets over Rua Morais Soares. All bedrooms were well equipped with comfortable beds and storage space. The two bathrooms were freshly renovated with authentic Portuguese tiles and left no wishes. While the kitchen is rather small compared to the rest of the apartment, it perfectly accommodated our needs, and we never had any issues with space. The washing machine and dishwasher were especially useful to us:)
Maryam was a very kind and responsive host who was always quick to respond to any question we had. Extending our stay at the end also posed no issue – we'd do it all over again in an instant!
The flat is located in a lively neighbourhood on a bustling street, which calms down during the night though. You can find anything you need on the street, from fruit shops and bakeries, to barbers and electronics shops. There are two smaller grocery stores within 2 minutes of the flat and plenty of larger ones (e.g., Pingo Doce, Continente, Lidl) within 10 minutes of walking. The closest gym is about 5 minutes away. If you don't feel like checking one of the wine bars, cafés, or restaurants on the side streets of Rua Morais Soares, you're only a 20-minute walk away from the beginnings of Alafama, or 7 minutes away from the Green and Red metro lines, which connect you perfectly to the city center and the airport. The closest bus stop is essentially right out the door as well, making the apartment the perfect spot to stay in Lisbon.

Recommended places nearby
Around the Mercado de Arroios, there are plenty of wine bars and restaurants, our favorites being Taberna os Papagaios, A Viagem das Horas, and ALFREDO. The closest wine bar that you can even see from the living room is Tati, which is always packed, so make sure to get a reservation.

I had such a great experience renting this flat! It’s incredibly spacious and filled with natural light, which made it a joy to live in. The balcony was one of my favorite spots – perfect for soaking up the sun and unwinding after a busy day. As someone who works remotely, I also really appreciated the dedicated workspace. It’s ideal for digital nomads!

What really made this stay exceptional, though, was Maryam. She was the most supportive and thoughtful host I’ve ever had. She went above and beyond to help us settle in and even lent us her car, which was such a kind and unexpected gesture. She truly made our move to Lisbon so much easier, and I’m so grateful for her help and generosity.

If you’re looking for a sunny, spacious flat with an amazing host, this is the one. I couldn’t recommend it more!
