The apartment was absolutely perfect for my stay as a student in Thessaloniki. Its location in the city made it easy to reach everything quickly, yet it wasn't noisy. The option of using the excellent air conditioning was also a real plus. Communication with the landlord was very straightforward, and he was always happy to help with any questions. Everything was just right.

The owner is a good person. Very helpful for any need.
In my case, he even lent me his bike so I could get around more independently, even though public transport is well connected to the house.
Everything works, quiet and safe area, with all shops very close by within walking distance.
I highly recommend it.

Dimitris was an exceptional host. Highly knowledgeable and conscientious. House had all the provisions I required, and was located on the nicer side of town - I've stayed both sides - with readily available supermarkets and gyms. There is a nearby metro station, but I was more than happy to walk around. (A special thanks to Dimitris for letting me back in on the two occasions I locked myself outside - he immediately responded, and was generally always available).

Neighborhood
Safe, quiet and homely.

Recommended places nearby
Gym: bodyfit (as open on Sundays). 10 minute walk.
Supermarket: Lidl (next to gym).

Worth seeing a concert at the music hall, and walking all the way along the pier.

I enjoyed both the byzantine and archaeological museum.

Vladaton monastery, and the walk up there, was most picturesque.

Hagioa Demetrios church is generally considered the most famous church, but I personally preferred the interior of the Holy Church of Panagia Dexia next to the Arch of Galerius. The most memorable church/monastery however was the Agia Theodora Monastery, a surprise find near Hagia Sophia.

Best nightlife area: Ladadika. No competion from my experience.
