The apartment is as advertised. I would rate it higher than 5 stars if I could. We had a lovely three-month stay in this amazing apartment. Francisco has created a lovely haven and was a great host. Since I also had to work while we were there, the office space was a game-changer for us. The kitchen was well stocked, and nothing was missing. The beds were comfortable, and there is plenty- actually, an amazing amount- of storage. The living room was well appointed and very comfortable. There are many little touches that make the apartment special, such as the automatic blinds. I will stay again when in Matosinhos.

Neighborhood
The apartment is in an amazing location. It's just across the street from the municipal market and one of the best sourdough bakeries in the Porto area. It is only a 150m walk to the metro, and you are connected to all of the wider Porto area. It is an easy walk to the beach, with dozens of great places to eat. We didn't need a car for our entire three-month stay. Even a grocery store was only a 15 min walk away.

Recommended places nearby
Matosinhos has many great places to eat, and many are within walking distance of the apartment. Heck, for 5 euros you can get a filling and satisfying meal in the cafeteria on the ground floor. Here are some of our favorites.
Bakery: Pao da Terra Matosinos
Traditional family restaurant: Coma Ben
Tascas for Sando Bifana: A Badalhioca do Fredo, O Electrico
Italian: Sapori Italiano Ristorante Pizzeria.
Seafood: You cannot go wrong. We tried several, and all were top-notch.
