Hi, I’m Yong.

In my 20s and 30s, I spent a lot of time traveling and backpacking around the world. I also work in the airline industry, so meeting people from different countries and cultures has always been a meaningful part of my life.

These days, I live in Seoul with my family. In a way, instead of traveling around the world, I now hope to welcome the world here.

I personally enjoy this part of Seoul because it lets you experience the city beyond the usual tourist areas. Take a walk along Anyangcheon, have a drink in Mullae, sit in a local café, and spend some time around ordinary Seoulites. I hope my guests can feel not only like visitors, but also like they are actually living in Seoul for a while.

The name SEQUOIA was inspired by the giant sequoia trees I remember from California. To me, they represent longevity, strength, and resilience. I wanted this home to feel calm and comfortable even in the middle of fast-moving Seoul.
