House for rent

Just 51 minutes from Shinagawa Station (Tokyo), this fully furnished private house with a garden is located on a hillside overlooking Manazuru Harbor, just a 12-minute walk from Manazuru Station. With Wi-Fi and everything you need for a comfortable stay, it is an ideal place to live like a local in a charming Japanese fishing town while enjoying the expansive views of the sea and harbor from the windows.

The harbor is only a 7-minute walk away, and a calm beach is about 20 minutes on foot. Enjoy fishing at the harbor, swimming and snorkeling in the clear waters, or explore nearby diving spots where you can see colorful fish and beautiful coral reefs.

As you walk along the narrow backstreets leading down to the harbor, seasonal flowers peek through the old stone walls. Every turn reveals a different view, making each walk a new discovery. It is the perfect escape from city life.

A local fish market is nearby, where you can buy freshly caught seafood and prepare your own meals. This home is designed for guests who want to experience the everyday life of a traditional Japanese port town rather than simply sightseeing.

Hakone, Yugawara, and Odawara are all within easy reach, making it convenient to enjoy hot springs and day trips during your stay.

Please note that some closets and storage cases contain the owner’s belongings and supplies and are not available for guest use. The rest of the house is fully available for your stay.

This is a 70-year-old traditional Japanese house (kominka). While it is equipped with modern appliances to ensure a comfortable stay, guests should understand that the age of the building means there may occasionally be minor inconveniences or imperfections. We recommend this home to those who appreciate the unique character and atmosphere of historic Japanese houses.

The house is surrounded by trees and greenery, offering a peaceful natural environment. However, because this is an older wooden house with small gaps typical of traditional construction, insects may occasionally find their way indoors. Please book only if you are comfortable with this aspect of staying in a countryside kominka.

How can I cancel my booking?

How you can cancel a booking varies depending on what stage the booking is in.

Is your booking request still waiting for host approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!

However, suppose the owner has already approved your booking request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the booking before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the host accepts your booking, the property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
