THE PROPERTY
A luxurious guest house with a beautiful Mediterranean garden ideal for combining work with a relaxed family holiday. Come and immerse yourself in the Douro valley's vast landscapes and natural wonders! Casa das Hortênsias is a traditional stonebuilt farmhouse completely renovated. It is a spacious property furnished with traditional Portuguese pieces and decorated with Portuguese-inspired themes. It features panoramic views over the nearby vineyards.

With your reservation you have exclusive access to the entire house including lounge, kitchen, dedicated office and external areas. Availability is limited to two adults to ensure the best remote working conditions, but we welcome families with children and pets! Private parking is available in the gated garden, and will easily accommodate two vehicles.

Absolutely 10 out of 10! The hosts were incredibly responsive, and their home is stunning — loved the big windows, huge living room, and roomy kitchen. The thoughtful goodies they left were a delightful touch. Being pet-friendly was a huge plus, and the dedicated workspace with blazing-fast internet was a dream for my online work. Its proximity to the town and a nearby supermarket was perfect for our needs—truly an outstanding stay. I 100% recommend it.

Neighborhood
The house is located in Alijo in the heart of the Douro Valley. It offers a serene retreat just a 5-minute drive from the town center. In town, you'll find all the essential amenities, including a supermarket and pharmacy. It's the ideal spot for anyone seeking relaxation in nature. The surroundings are great for exploring, but the house is so well-equipped that you won't feel the need to go far for a comfortable stay.

How can I cancel my booking?

How you can cancel a booking varies depending on what stage the booking is in.

Is your booking request still waiting for host approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!

However, suppose the owner has already approved your booking request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the booking before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the host accepts your booking, the living space is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.

Do you have an approved booking and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your booking, contact Flatio customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
