A spacious, architect-designed and immaculately-equipped apartment offered by the Hiboux creative architectural collective and part of a network of centrally-located properties in Athens, Beirut, Istanbul and Tunis, dedicated to reminding us of an earlier, kinder period of cosmopolitan coexistence in the Mediterranean.
Interiors feature 1950s oak-panelled floors, Persian carpets; period Victorian and French gas-lamps, art nouveau appliques and period suspension-lamps; antique Egyptian, Tunisian and Indian wooden furniture from the early 20th century; original paintings and photography. The huge terrace boasts citrus, olive, walnut and acacia trees, alongside a hand-designed 1880s Parisian-style pergola, composed of over 500 individual pieces of welded metal.
The apartment is powered by solar panels on the roof and a natural gas backup for cloudy days. All original features were retained and augmented during the renovation, including parquet floors, French doors (with added double glazing), 1950s wooden shutters, and the original kitchen and bedroom cupboards. Additions were sourced as locally and ethically as possible, with Greek carpenters contributing bookcases, a period Athenian settee and bed and other furniture. The remainder furniture (up to 180 years old) has been sourced by the owner in an ethical and serendipitous manner.
Included in the booking is a unique, illustrated, insider's guide to contemporary Athens written by the journalist owner about his city.

How you can cancel a booking varies depending on what stage the booking is in.
Is your booking request still waiting for host approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your booking request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the booking before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the host accepts your booking, the living space is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
Do you have an approved booking and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your booking, contact Flatio customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
