This bright and cozy apartment is located just a short walk from Gellért Hill and Gellért Square, in one of the nicest parts of Budapest. The city center and Buda Castle are only 10–15 minutes away on foot, so you’re close to everything while still enjoying a peaceful neighborhood.
The flat is perfect for one person or a couple looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The area has a lovely local vibe, with great cafés, restaurants, art galleries, and the famous Gellért Thermal Bath nearby. The Liberty Bridge is just around the corner, making it easy to reach the lively Pest side as well.
You’ll find everything you need in the apartment for a relaxed stay, including fresh towels and bed linen, a washing machine, hairdryer, fast WiFi, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Public transport is excellent, and two universities are within walking distance. If you enjoy a bit of nature, Gellért Hill is right next door—perfect for a morning coffee walk or a sunset view.
I’m always happy to help during your stay and make sure you feel at home.
Please note: from September to May, the minimum stay is 3 months. Regular cleaning can / will be arranged for an extra fee.

Hello, I'm Eva. I live and work in Budapest. I live near the Gellert Bath and Square (11th district), this is my favorite area as it's close to the center but still quiet, green and very safe. I think this has become the best area of Budapest recently. I love Budapest and I am happy to help you and give recommendations. I work in a business school and I love traveling!

Every time you rent through Flatio, you're automatically covered by our StayProtection package.
By booking this property, you'll also enjoy extended protection in the form of Stay Benefits - a unique offering backed by AXA! Here's what such packaging includes:
Once you send a booking request, the host is notified that you are interested in their listing. From that moment, they have 24 hours to approve or reject your booking.
Hosts are mainly interested in the profile of their guest. Do not forget to fill in all necessary information, add your profile picture, or even make a short video about yourself. Doing that will make you more attractive for the owner and your booking will more likely get approved.
You can take a look at the contract in advance and online with every listing. After you sign it, you will find it in the application My Housing.
While arranging a contract on Flatio, you do not have to worry that it could be disadvantageous for you. Our contracts are made so that we avoid all problems! All of them are the same, used by all the hosts on Flatio.
Your time is precious. That's why we've added a virtual tour option to our platform so you can see some of the rentals listed on Flatio from the comfort of your own home.
If a virtual tour isn't available for the accommodation you've chosen, you can contact the host and ask them if they're willing to give you a personal tour of the rental unit.
How you can cancel a booking varies depending on what stage the booking is in.
Is your booking request still waiting for host approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your booking request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the booking before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the host accepts your booking, the property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
Do you have an approved booking and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your booking, contact Flatio customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
Reviews
Eva is a perfect and very caring host, really helpful, ready to support and be there, and also a very interesting person to talk to. The apartment is definitely the best for one person, for two people it's a little bit tiny; however, for us as a couple we find the way to manage it. We've been staying there for six months, and that was during very important periods for us. All the best memories. At winter it was warm and cozy. It's in a perfect location. There are two great universities with access to libraries and great space for work. I would specifically recommend Corvinus for that.
It's mostly quiet, but there are two factors that might affect a little bit of noise: people from the bar in the same building and old trams from the street not far from it, so we used earbuds while sleeping. It's little bit hard to maintain kitchen if you cook a lot, but solvable.
Other than that, it's definitely a safe space in a great location. I think it's the best location, the most calm, and at the same time it's close to the city center, so it's really walkable with everything less touristic. Also, great coffee shops and places to eat, to train for sport, everything is around to live daily life
Neighborhood
No tourists, but still beautiful architecture, great food without touristic scams, lot's of sport activities, perfect for running, training outside.

Corvinus University Library and lobby for work. BME Library for work and vibes, Nicaragua for breakfasts, Nanu coffee for the best coffee.

This is a nice flat, in quiet District XI, but close to several major transit lines. I lived here for nearly a year, it is a great area to stay. The flat is perfect for a person or a couple, with the ability to host an overnight guest when needed. I highly recommend!
Neighborhood
The neighborhood is quiet but vibrant! Being on the Buda side, it is near the Danube and the Buda Hills while transit makes the city center easily accessible in around 15 minutes.
Recommended places nearby
Kelet Cafe & Hadik are great places to experience the vibrant literary and artistic culture of the district and the city.

I really enjoyed my stay in this flat and if I were to come back to Budapest, I would book this flat again before looking at any other options. It has everything I need, has a great landlady, and has an amazing location.
When you enter the flat, you are in a hallway with doors to the bathroom, bedroom, living room and a separate toilet. The kitchen is in the same hallway. The kitchen is not very big but it had everything I needed, including a ceramic hob, a kettle, pots, pans, plates etc. There is plenty of storage: basically every room had storage, cupboards etc. The bathroom has a bath (no shower), sink and washing machine.
The bedroom has a double bed with a good mattress. The mattress was relatively hard (which I don't mind).
The living room is the biggest room in the flat, which is great because this is where I spent most time. I used the small dining table to work and eat at, and there is a comfy sofa (bed). Both the bedroom and the living room have windows. There was plenty of light, but never any direct sunlight during my stay (in June), which is probably for the better given how warm the weather was.
Neighborhood
The flat is located in a side street off of Bartók Béla útca, the main street coming off the Liberty Bridge on the Buda side of the Danube. This side street is pretty quiet: there are few cars. You can sometimes hear the tram or traffic on the main street. There is an 11 pm curfew for bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, so at night the whole area is very quiet.
There is a bus and tram stop at a 2-minute walk. Trams and buses into the centre come every few minutes, so you never spend a long time waiting, and it takes maybe 5-10 minutes to get to the centre. If you walk two minutes more, there is a metro stop so you're right on the metro network. If you cross the bridge to Kálvin tér, there is a direct bus to the airport.
Bartók Béla útca had the perfect mix of liveliness and quietness for me: it's on the more quiet side of the river (all the tourists spend their time on the east side), yet it's full of cute restaurants, cafés and bars.

My favourites were Kelet for amazing coffee, breakfast and lunch, and Ultramarinos Martinez for a small piece of Spain in Budapest (they have great tapas). Most places I went to (including Kelet) were happy to have laptop users and it was never difficult to find a place to work for a few hours.
