Apartment Una Mountain Beauty

Although Serbia is not completely unknown to digital nomading, Zlatibor is still off the radar but we will do our best to make it "visible" to the whole world. It sure deserves to be much higher on this "list" - for both its lifestyle and incredible nature. For now, it's an excellent opportunity to explore nature, eat helathy food and get your work done in silence.
To be precise, our property is a part of a buliding complex consisting mainly of separate (similar) units that are available for letting given that Zlatibor is a popular touristic destination in the region. Hence, it has a great potential for co-living and co-working concept.

*PROPERTY
We offer a one-bedroom apartment (33 m2), ground floor, fully furnished, terrace looking over the yard, plenty of sunshine and it's south oriented. Our unite has recently been redecorated and it was our family project (mine, my husband's and my daughter's) done with great amount of love and attention to every detail. It can accomodate up to 2 people.
Kitchen and dining** room are combined in an open space with the living area that has a quite big and TV-oriented sectionl sofa for the afternoon lounge. Kitchen includes a refrigerator with the small freezer compartment, microwave oven, electric kettle and a ceramic stove top. It is also supplied with plenty of cutlery/crockery, pots and pans, cooking utensils etc. The key point of the living room is a fine, comfortable sectinal sofa. **Given the square footage, the table set in the dining room is easily converted into a work station. Two additonal coffe tables are available in the living room (38x38 cm; 68x38 cm).
Separated bedroom comprises a double bed (2,0 m x 1,4 m) and a storage closet. Linens, bedsheets, blankets are provided.
All windows are equipped with roller shutters, so you can adjust your ambience durnig the day as you wish.
Separated bathroom with a shower, towels included. No washing machine - several laundry services available locally and are circa 8-10 minutes away from the apartment.
Beautiful terrace overlooking the grassy yard where guests can enjoy the sunny/ shady periods during the day depending on their mood. Although it's a ground floor level, it is well separated from the main street by a line of evergreen trees in order to maintain the guests' privacy.

* BUILDING
Our unit is a part of an apartment building complex, located close to the central lake region of Zlatibor. It'a actually in a dead end street so the traffic is never an issue. The whole building has beautiful mountain charm, which kind of "defies" modern construction trend often seen lately in Zlatibor. Joined entrace to the building includes a few stairs up then a few stairs down to our private entrance door. Parkig lot is just outside the apartment building.

* AREA AND SURROUNDINGS
The building is closely surrounded by a few mature pines which fits perfectly in a mountain landscape. The central lake region is just about 8 minutes of walk distance from our unit and this is where the majority of cafes, restaurants, banks, pharmacy stores, boutiques are.
Post office, Health service, many exchange offices are also located in the centre. Public bus station is near the centre, circa 10 minutes away from our apartment. Rent-a-car/ bike/ ATV service also available.
Zlatibor is a small town located at the namesake mountain in the municipality of Čajetina, western Serbia (elevation just over 1000 m). It is both touristic and residential place in which everything is pretty much in a walking distance. There is really no need of using a car to meet the inner/central part of Zlatibor, a bike would be just fine if you want to browse wider area. It is famous for the biggest panoramic gondola in the world. What's even more famous for is "the rose of the winds" - that's a natural phenomenon of two steams - mediterranean and continental colide so staying at this beautiful mountain will definately make your lungs "breathe". With regards to many health benefits, Specialized Helath Centre for thyroid gland and metabolism was founded in 1964 as the uniqe centre of this kind in the Balkans which has been developing and working successfully ever since.
In the last few years Zlatibor has grown into a designated touristic region that offers so many biking/hiking tracks, ATV tours, day trips&excursions, beautiful nature, swimming pools, modern spa centres, etc. Maybe even more beautiful is Zlatibor's surrounding eco-villages with gorgeous lakes, streams, landscapes, caves, open-museums, etc.
Last but not the least, Zlatibor is one of the top ski centres in Serbia which is ideal for nordic skiing and biathlon. 9 kilometres away from Zlatibor is Tornik ski center - mountain resort and one of the largest centers of winter tourism in Serbia. Located on the slopes of Zlatibor Mountain, it is mainly a destination for skiing. Panoramic gondola is a unique way of transportation between Zlatibor and Tornik throughout the year, especially when Zlatibor is covered in sparkling snow which is a breathtaking experience from the air.
