In this article, you can learn what methods Flatio uses to verify tenants who make a reservation request on any property listed on Flatio.
Are tenants on Flatio verified?
We understand that it's important to have confidence in a tenant you're considering to accommodate in your property. That's why we do everything we can to verify Flatio tenants and ensure you have all the information you need in the following ways:
- Profile creation
We ask all tenants to fill out their profiles as much as possible, stating all the relevant information (i.e., why they're looking for accommodation, who will live with them, where they work/study, and who they are as a person) and adding their profile photo. - Email verification
Even though email verification is currently optional, you can always see whether the tenant has verified their email address and can be certain it belongs to them. Alternatively, tenants can choose to connect their Flatio profile to their Google/Apple/Facebook account, which verifies the given email address automatically. - Reviews from previous landlords
If the tenant has already stayed in a property via Flatio, you have the previous landlord's review available. These evaluations even include their assessment of communication and cleanliness of the tenant, together with the information on whether they recommend the tenant or not.
This information can provide you with an overview of who the tenants are and if they can be trusted. If you're ever unsure, you can always choose to contact the tenant and request any additional information before you decide about their reservation request.
