I wasn't able to accept/decline the reservation within the 24-hour deadline. What should I do?

In this article, you can learn what you can do if you don't manage to react within the 24-hour window and the request expires.

If you don’t respond to a reservation request within the given 24-hour period, our system will automatically reject it. It’s worth noting that this rejection is considered the worst type of unauthorized rejection and therefore has a significant negative effect on your listing’s position on Flatio, meaning your listing will drop on our platform and become a lot less visible and less likely to be booked.

To prevent this unfortunate situation from happening, we recommend that you always accept or reject each reservation request as quickly as possible. Faster responses increase your listing score and can also stop tenants from looking for alternative housing.

However, in case the reservation expires before you can react but you’re interested in accommodating the potential tenant, you can contact them, explain the situation, and ask them to create a new reservation request. If they haven’t found another place already, it could still work out!
