Yes, they are! We've got you covered in many ways, including the following safety features:

  • When deciding which rental property to book, you can consider the available reviews from real tenants that are displayed in the landlords' public profiles, and you can also view the available verification labels.
  • The entire rental is secured by a uniform lease agreement created by Flatio, which is concluded directly between the tenant and the landlord and is balanced for both parties, meaning both sides have the same rights.
  • You don't even pay the first rent in advance to the landlord, who then may refuse to hand over the accommodation to you or stop communicating. The first rent is forwarded to the landlord only after confirmation of a smooth handover or automatically after 3 days from the start of the rental period when we can safely assume no problem has occurred.
  • If the rental property doesn't match the listing's presentation on Flatio from the time your booking request was made, you can withdraw from the lease and get a full refund of the rent, service fee, and backup accommodation for up to 7 days. You can read more about our Move-in Guarantee here.
